Hoivatilat Oyj specialises in producing, developing, owning and leasing out day-care centres and nursing homes, as well as service blocks. This is housing, which provides the elderly with a broad range of services.
Hoivatilat decided to expand its business into a new category. They wanted to create an innovative concept around intergenerational service housing and looked for an experienced partner to hone the concept with them. At Co-founders, we’ve extensive experience at concept innovation and were naturally happy to help.
We kicked off the concepting work by organizing two co-creation workshops, one with internal people and one with important external stakeholders. These workshops had an important role in committing partners to the project. We also gained important insights through qualitative research, which was conducted among potential users. This work resulted in the creation of three alternative concepts, which can be utilized to further develop the business.
Hoivatilat made use of this detailed concepting work to sell their future business proposals to key decision makers within the industry. They also gained important insights into true user needs and were thus able to market a unique and engaging service offering to their customers.
