Carol Dweck
explores fixed and growth mindsets
We all know that it is impossible to lead a career free of mistakes. Failure can cause frustration and even self-hatred. The Growth Mindset-concept offers an opposite view on how failures could and should be met: every failure is an opportunity to grow. Failures make you more experienced. They do not doom you as a person but allow you to demonstrate your resilience.
We had a great pleasure to discuss the Growth Mindset with professor Carol Dweck who is one of the world’s leading researchers in the fields of personality, social psychology, and developmental psychology. She has written a book called Mindset. It explores the fact that people who have equal abilities act very differently: some of them are excited to take on challenges and feel energized by difficulty, but others again, with the same level of ability avoid challenges and wilt.
We are happy to share our discussion with Carol Dweck with you.
